Dracheninsel, Dimensions: 15000x15000
Mountains: transition into the sea, can break off into the sea, so that steep walls are formed, such as English or Scottish cliff landscapes
1
Isolated medium-sized mountains / mountain groups on the map
Mountains: The further south, the smaller the mountains generally become. In the north, there are some that have wide, open spaces at the top, enough to create a dragon spawn point.
The swamp is close to the sea, so there is a lot of brackish water and/or sea water here.
In the swamp there may be hills that protrude from the marshland and provide safe ground.
A river should run through the swamp
Sand desert: Small oder medium sand dunes, sometimes small flat areas. Material: Sand, sandstone, stone, granite
Deserts should generally have no trees - but a few dead trees in suitable places are welcome.
Lake area: These areas may contain a few small to large lakes. Nothing gigantic.
Agricultural land: Slightly hilly, relatively flat, without soil irritations, maximum single trees, should be a place for various fields.
Areas not described in detail will likely later contain wild primeval forests of varying sizes. Perhaps also larger clearings or meadows.
The map is supposed to have rivers. One runs under the city wall (there isn't one yet, just imagine there's one somewhere) (it can be quite wide and navigable by a ship) and from there into the sea. It could be connected to the city's waterways.
Material of the mountains: Stone, andesite, just a bit of cobblestone, gravel (at the foot of the mountains)
From all areas with green vegetation there is a transition to the desert area with dirt, sand or similar suitable materials.
Swamp vegetation: deciduous trees, willow trees, dead trees
Jungle vegetation: ancient trees, jungle trees, palm trees, ferns
There are supposed to be a few isolated trees in the meadow area, mostly deciduous trees.
On the mountains there will be mainly conifers, but the higher up there will be fewer.
In the sandy desert, somewhere near the jungle, there is supposed to be a small oasis.
Stone desert contains rocks, mostly small; closer to the mountains, they may become larger. Materials: Stone, Cobblestone, Andesite, Gravel, Light Gray Concrete Powder
The area around the city is to be used primarily for agriculture, but there will also be mixed forests where hunting could take place, for example.

Rough idea for the map, changeable
1
Between the mountains in the north, either on top of some mountains or between them, there's supposed to be room for a fairly large village. This village is important to the lore—both dragons and humans are supposed to live there, so there must be enough space.
The jungle-like area will later contain many ferns and ancient trees, can have a few small mountains/cliffs, and can have rivers flowing through it.
For this map, we've already built a city on another map, but we'd like to include it in the new map. I don't know if it's possible to copy it 1:1 WITHOUT changing any of its coordinates—otherwise, please just leave the space for this city FREE and mark it accordingly so we can somehow put it together.
Mondlichtinsel, Dimensions: 2500-3000 Diameter
Old example for the mapdesign, changeable
1
The map's shape is supposed to resemble a moon and a wolf. However, the shape is still very variable, and there's a good bonus for very good shapes, of course.
We don't need any variation in the biome - a uniform biome like "Plains" works great here.
A secluded area somewhere on the map intended to house a medium-sized village and protected from invading mobs by surrounding cliffs
The map can have smaller mountains with cliffs or hills
The area here is supposed to be somewhat colder later on, and the area surrounding the village is rather wild, as the residents can hardly leave due to the werewolves living there. However, ore is mined there on a small scale.
A slightly larger mountain, preferably a bit further away from the village, where we can later build a mining dungeon.
Most of the map will simply be covered by grass and perhaps a few scattered deciduous or coniferous trees.
Somewhere on the map, there might be beaches leading to the sea.
There might be rocks in the sea that make access to the island difficult. There shouldn't be any rocks in the water around the village.
The island shouldn't have flat beaches everywhere—a few cliffs here and there will make life difficult for the players.
Weihnachtsdorf, Dimensions: about 3000 Diameter
You can imagine the map like the inside of a snow globe. However, in the center of the map, there will be a giant Christmas tree, surrounded by a village fenced in by a gigantic Advent wreath. This space in the middle, approximately 800 blocks in diameter, should be kept clear and flat.
1
Uniform biome, no variation needed. (Can be left as tundra)
The map should include frozen rivers and small lakes.
There's a bonus for a good variety of fir trees, distributed sensibly outside the middle zone (don't fill everything, just place them where it makes sense). (Good variety = not just vanilla trees, but trees that you'd also want to decorate with Christmas baubles.)
The glass part of a snow globe is represented by one of our plugins and does NOT need to be generated via Worldpainter.
The gigantic tree in the middle does not have to be created via Worldpainter - but if it is possible, you can expect a bonus.
Feenreich, Dimensions: about 3000-3500 Diameter, more is better.
This is a continent in the sea, consisting of several parts. In the inner area, there are the fairies who live in a village in front of a mountain. To the south of it is a large lake. Surrounding the inner area is a round mountain range that separates the inner and outer areas. It is said to be large and insurmountable—in other words, it should be impossible to enter from the outside. Surrounding this mountain range is a kind of wasteland, untouched by the magic within, populated by orcs. Beyond it, there is only the ocean.
The interior of the map is comparatively flat, except for the mountain near the fairy village, then there is an insurmountable, high and pointed mountain range (you can get out from the inside, but not in from the outside)
There's a mountain in the center of the map, at the southern end of which the fairy village will be. The area for the village itself should have a radius of about 400 blocks, which is enough for everything within. Simply mark it out and leave it flat, e.g., with colored wool.
South of the fairy village there is said to be a lake with an estimated diameter of 150 blocks.
The remaining inner area around the village should have a radius of 800-1200 blocks. Again, more is better.
The interior may have small elevations, possibly rivers, deciduous trees such as birch or cherry trees (we will change these visually afterwards)
Sand and grass can be used in the inner area; we will later visually change these blocks to white sand and white grass.
Smaller streams and ponds can also be distributed in the inner area.
The outer mountain ring should have a radius of at least 300 blocks and must be impassable from the outside. It doesn't hurt if it's larger.
Mountains are made of stone, andesite, cobblestone, and at the foot of the mountains, gravel.
Several caves lead through the outer mountain range to the outer area. These must be marked for us.
The outside area of the map can also have 700-1000 blocks or more, and is a wasteland with cobble, dirt, coarsed dirt, stone or similar.
In the outer area there can also be hills, cliffs and beaches.
There will be trees in the outer area, but mostly dead trees.
After the outside area there should be AT LEAST 500 blocks of water, preferably more.
For the map designers: A second map, also circular, approximately (interior + mountain ring + 300 extra) would be suitable. It wouldn't need any surface terrain, but a cave underground. Nothing special: But some variation would be nice, if possible. Underground rivers would also be welcome.
Schattenreich, Dimensions: 15000 (Height) x 15000 (Width)
Voidmap
Has Continents, that float in the Void. No Oceans in between.
The Continents itself may have rivers, lakes and Oceans. If they reach to the edge of a Continent, they form a waterfall into the void
Continents and smaller Islands may vary in their height and should not be bound to the waterlevel-height of minecraft or similar. We can just move them with Fawe if thats to hard.
Continents and smaller islands should "glide" into the void. They should break apart and "dissolve" at some points.
Continents and Islands may have Trees, but strange and twisted ones or dead trees.
Have you played Skyrim? There is a location called "Seelengrab" or maybe "Soul Grave / Soul Mark" in english - take this as inspiration for the Map.
2
Let this map appear as surreal as possible. But NOT with e.g. upside-down mountains or similar. If that is not possible, thats okay.
The Map should have some mountains on the continents.
We need some cracks in the ground, we will fill them with some blocks and effects that make them look glowing.
One of the Continents, if you do more than one, maybe pick the biggest one for this, should have a marked location for a city. This location should be mostly flat with maybe some cliffs for a bit of variation.
Rote Nacht
This would be a void map - the entire landscape should consist of flying islands that burst into smaller and smaller pieces at the edges.
One of the flying islands is intended for a village, should have a radius of about 250-350 blocks, but does not have to be round.
There are said to be several smaller flying islands around the village island for field work.
On a hill on a large floating island (this spot is mostly intact), there will be a large, dark castle. Please mark this spot.
Between the village and the castle, there are supposed to be several different islands that you have to cross somehow to get from A to B. The islands do NOT have to be adjacent to each other. We make that possible ourselves.
Heaven
Voidmap
There should be one mayor flying island, really big. We want to place some kind of castle on it, similar to the attached picture
1
Some smaller flying islands of different sizes, we want some rivers, small lakes or ponds, some with trees, some just with grass and flowers.
Edges of the islands should always be made of white wool, because minecraft has no cloud blocks yet.
The islands should not be TOO far apart - we want to connect them with rainbow bridges, as seen in the picture above
The flying islands should not have sharp edges like regular flying islands. Picture them as islands flying on clouds.
There may be islands without any kind of vegetation, "just clouds", that are of no interest to the players and just decorative.
Farbwüste
Round map, ca. 2000 Diameter.
The style of the map is desert - so we need dunes in different sizes. They should have bigger distances between each other, at least the big dunes.
You can use regular Sand for this, but we will chance this to the more colorful cement powder later.
This should be an end map, if possible.
We want to have the sand chance color between the dunes, e.g. one dune is red and yellow, the next one is blue and white, the one after that may be green and purple. That will have effect on nearby monsters, thats why they should not be too close to each other.
The Worldborder: we would like some very high and pointy mointains, they may appear a bit surreal. Use the edge of the map for this - maybe the last 100-300 blocks of the map. They may need cliffs to the desert side, our players should not be able to climb them, but we will check this later and change some spots ourself, if necessary.
If you can do this: we have a schematic with some crystals that we would like to see in the desert. They are pretty colorless, but we will adjust the color later.
Also, we'd like to have some flying crystals, but we do not have a schematic for those.
Use this for some inspiration.
2
Chaos Galaxy (7500x7500)
That should look like a regular landscape, maybe a few continents and islands surrounded by a shallow ocean.
This map needs a lot of deserts and volcanoes
We need a place that looks *special* - our reptiles need a home. This palce needs some fields for harvesting, so we need something that they could consider "holy" and simultaniously live there. Maybe next to the shallow ocean and a river.
To set the scene for this one: Welcome to the world of the god-dragon "Chaos". Despite his name, he does care for his creations. On this world with two red dwarf stars and a big moon, between volcano eruptions, endless deserts, earthquakes and heat, red vegetation, shallow red oceans and bioluminescence, there is a spiritualistic reptiloid race minding their own business.
1
There should be some crystals on the mountains, you can use our schematic for this, we will recolor them later.
Also, please use regular blocks like grass, dirt and stone for this, yes, the landscape is red, but we will do this with textures. For the sands and ocean-grounds, you may use red sand or red concrete powder (this one not near water please, its a pain in the arse to fix this). also, granite in the regular stone could be a nice touch.
If you have own ideas, tell us!
This is an alien world, literally - and this world should NOT have ANY vegetation - we need to add this by hand.
